5. Village Centre Matters/Report.
a. An attempted break in to the village centre had forced the committee to change the locks. Interior decoration is still in progress. The car park is being marked out into bays especially including disabled drivers. Lots of bookings taking place, the location is excellent for meetings.
6. Community Playing Field/Paddock.
a. Whilst it was resolved to accept the price for ground work, the contractors are not yet able to start due to the bad weather. Hopefully when the rain stops and the ground is dry then they can make a start. The extra quote from the contractors for work on the top A1 access is rather high, so the Cllrs have agreed to form a working party to get this sorted themselves. The local rugby club have been using the playing field at a rate of £10ph.
b. Great Ponton mens football team of 12, chaired by Cllr Cruckshank will be using the playing field. Grantham Football Academy is paying the monthly rent of £166.66 for the exclusive use of two football pitches.
c. Caravan & Camping Club. The certificate has now been received. A rally has been booked for 2020 and also 2021. Cllr Cruickshank has been asked to remove his caravan after complaints received by the Clerk.
The motorbike business, whose land is adjacent to the playing field, will be asked to tidy up their fence which is in a poor state and also attend to 3 trees.
